Table tennis player Aruna Quadri pulled off a shock in Rio 2016 by beating fifth seeded player Chih-Yuan Chuang.
Quadri, who beat Slovakia’s Wang Yang 4-2 in Round 2, outclassed the Taiwanese player 4-0 in the men’s Singles event at Rio 2016.
It is the biggest win of his career thus far, as he cruised 11-6, 12-10, 11-6 and 11-7, without Chuang even winning a game.
With the legendary Segun Toriola knocked out by Japan’s Niwa Koki, and Funke Oshonaike already bundled out, Quadri’s victory ensures Africa will get another representative in Game Four.
