Though conflicting reports say the waterfalls was discovered by some hunters in 1140 AD, another revealed it was discovered by one of the daughters of Oduduwa in 1140 AD, whatever the case this stunning work of nature is one to explore.
You’re greeted by torrential water splashing on uneven rocky surfaces as you attempt to climb past the water falling and easily flowing down the rocks. The w
aterfall features seven floors on which a village called ‘Abake’ is reportedly located on!
Climbing through the rocks are some sort of adventure as it gets strenuous by the second floor; at this point the ‘steps’ created for the first floor ends so you would have to make you way around uneven rocky surfaces, carefully finding their way around the surface without tripping making it even more adventurous but certainly not for the faint-hearted.
As you progress on the steps, the water comes down even more beautiful, leaving you in awe of nature (if you stop on the first step you won’t get as beautiful a look as climbing
but then at your discretion).
There’s not a dull moment at the waterfall as there are always tourists exploring the wonder that is the place. People say no one has ever gotten to the 7th floor though.

Before heading to Erin Ijesha Waterfalls, some helpful things to take along with you include slippers, climbing boots, shorts, change of clothing, swimming gear.
While you are at the waterfalls, you could attempt to climb to the last tier of the waterfall and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
