2012 – Nomuzi Mabena joins the MTV Base talent roster after winning a nationwide search for new talent
2013 – Ehiz Okeguale aka Dadaboi becomes the second Nigerian VJ on MTV Base
2013 – Sandile Ntshingla becomes the fourth South African VJ on MTV Base.
